We as the developers would like to welcome you to our passion project the game called short left we are hoping to raise funds to make this dream reality and we hope that through this page you can join our journey and become a part of this endeavor. The basic premise of the game is that you play as a taxi driver whose main mission is to grow his business while avoiding trouble, our goal is R600 000 we as a development feel that this amount will be sufficient in making this dream a reality. So please feel free to explore the site and gain a better vision of our intentions.
The game
Short left is a free roam open map vehicle based game on which you drive taxi(s) across the map the main objective being to deliver as many as many as many passengers as is possible safely to their locations while picking up power ups to give you temporary abilities the further progress you make the better taxis you can unlock and the more money you can make and some taxis have special abilities. As you drive more recklessly you gain attention from the police once you reach a certain attention level you will be pulled over and half your current funds confiscated however if you refuse to pull over you will be pursued and the longer you are being pursued and the more recklessly you drive whole being pursued the more customers you’ll lose.

The maps
The game features a vast selection of maps in a variety of locations from bustling city scapes to quiet neighbourhoods to even the carnival. Levels can be unlocked with further into the game with both experience and points . Patrons and donators will be given addittional levels.

Game modes
Once you feel you’ve played enough offline go online to face up against other drivers and fight for territory in real time as you fight for customers and avoid police all on single large interactive maps allowing for unlimited fun with friends or strangers. The size of your online taxi rank and success there assists you with offline granting rewards and perk bonuses.
Story
In short left we follow the story of a young taxi driver who gets to the city looking to make something of himself as a taxi owner. You follow his adventures as you meet a colorful cast of other characters who help not only progress the story but sometimes also directly help you get closer to your dream of owning your own taxi rank.

Gameplay
You are dropped in an open map with your taxi’s with drop of points shown on your map your objectives are marked the main objective being to pick up and drop off passengers. Side objectives are outlined in the corner driving erratically will draw police attention but driving slowly will reduce your total money as there is a time limit so this encourages a balance of speed and precision.
Characters
The driver
The driver: your character the main character the driver and the owner of the taxi rank in online mode as the game progresses you will be able to customize him visually.
The mechanic
The mechanic: The one in charge of upgrades and taxi modifications he’s the one you visit to modify upgrade and buy new taxis
The cop
The police: The police constable head of the police force he will co-ordinate police chases and you will meet him when you get caught and will deal out penalties
